DuurzaamXL, a full-service sustainability partner, helps homeowners, businesses and sports clubs operate in a greener and smarter way. To deliver the best possible solutions, DuurzaamXL works closely with financial advisers and mortgage providers. For this group, they wanted a smart platform for knowledge sharing and communication. The goal was simple: to connect the DuurzaamXL community faster and more effectively than ever before.

What is DuurzaamXL?

Based in Nijmegen, DuurzaamXL has been a leading sustainability partner since 2019. They handle the full journey from start to finish, including technical inspections, installation and final handover. All work is carried out by their own team, backed by both service and product guarantees. Their motivation is driven by a clear ambition: creating a sustainable and greener future for everyone. Together with co-owner and managing director Daan Labro, we take a closer look at this vision.

Daan describes the culture at DuurzaamXL as “streetwise”. By that, he means practical, straightforward and firmly grounded. “Our team is made up of doers who roll up their sleeves, and thinkers who provide direction. That combination is what makes DuurzaamXL strong. It is all about working together, taking action and delivering results.”

This approach is clearly paying off. DuurzaamXL now serves over 4,500 customers and works with more than 2,500 partners. “After years of hard work, we have reached a point where almost all new requests come in through our partners,” says Daan.

Partners in sustainability

When people buy or renovate a home, sustainability often becomes part of the conversation. Think of solutions such as solar panels, insulation, heat pumps and charging points. Mortgage providers and financial advisers play a key role here, as many sustainability measures are linked to financing or mortgage extensions.

To support customers financially as well, DuurzaamXL works closely with financial advisers and mortgage providers. “The adviser looks at the financial scope, while we deliver an independent sustainability plan tailored to the customer. A major benefit for the customer is that they still have one point of contact, as we align the sustainability advice directly with the adviser.”

One platform for knowledge sharing and communication

To strengthen collaboration with advisers and partners even further, DuurzaamXL is building its own knowledge and communication platform together with Bundeling. The platform brings together all information, contacts and updates in one clear environment, ensuring nothing is missed and partners can act quickly.

From submitting sustainability questions to sharing knowledge and experiences, everything is brought together in one easy-to-use app. Partners are also kept continuously informed of the latest news, clearly organised by topic.

“We want all insights to be easily and instantly accessible,” says Daan. “Whether it is a new subsidy scheme, a product update or a practical question, partners have one central place to go. That saves time, avoids misunderstandings and enables real collaboration.”
